Off Campus Life team

Nora received her BA in English & Secondary Education from Mercer University in 1997 and her M.Ed. in College Student Personnel/Counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2000. Nora worked as a Full Time Hall Director at James Madison University for two years before joining the Housing staff at UF in 2002. Nora worked as a Residence Director and Residence Life Coordinator during her two years with UF’s Housing Office. In 2004, Nora was selected as the first Director of Off Campus Life at UF. Nora truly enjoys working with off campus students because it allows her to educate students and work closely with City of Gainesville community members, local business owners, and city staff. Nora loves being a Gainesville resident and especially enjoys the beautiful Florida weather and Florida State parks.

Elery received his BA in History and Political Science from the University of Florida in 2020. In 2021, Elery accepted a full-time role the Department of Housing and Residence Life as an administrative support assistant in operations. Elery joined the Off Campus Life team as a coordinator in 2022. Elery has called Gainesville home since 2016 and is passionate about sharing the incredible experiences that the city has to offer with new residents. Elery’s favorite aspects of Gainesville are its amazing natural spaces and its vibrant music scene. Elery is excited to help members of the UF community settle in the city and make it their own!

Hannah is currently pursuing a Master of Health Administration at the University of Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Science from Florida State University in 2023. She is enthusiastic about behavioral health, and aims to pursue a career in which she can make lasting change in the behavioral health world, for both patients and employees. Hannah’s favorite things about Gainesville are UF, farmer’s markets, live music, and local coffee shops. She is passionate about helping students find their community at UF and within Gainesville.

Sky Augusta is a first-year student at the University of Florida studying Advertising with a minor in Business Administration. Sky aspires to found her own Advertising Agency with a focus on non-profit organizations benefitting children suffering from poverty and/or pediatric illnesses. When she is not in the office, Sky photographs Dance Marathon at UF events as a Multimedia Captain and creates graphics for the UF Panhellenic Council as the Assistant Director of Graphic Design. Sky’s favorite things to do in Gainesville include trying new restaurants and photographing the beautiful sites and individuals of Gainesville, Florida. Sky is passionate in motivating students to explore Gainesville by implementing new and exciting social media strategies.
