Mission

Off Campus Life is committed to educating and assisting UF students to achieve a positive off-campus living experience. Through OCL's resources, services, education, and support we foster leadership and civic engagement to develop great gator neighbors in Gainesville and throughout the Gator Nation. How exactly is this achieved? Off Campus Life adheres to four distinct pillars which aid us in achieving our mission to provide the best possible experience for students living off-campus.

LIVE

To help students with off-campus housing and their transition to the Gainesville community. Some examples include our Gator Guide and Housing Locator service.

LEARN

To educate students about their role as roommates, community members, and Gator neighbors. We strive to keep you informed through the use of social media, newsletters, and programming.

LEAD

To provide students with the skills and opportunities to become leaders both on and off-campus. OCL's student organization, the Off Campus Ambassadors, offers students opportunities to assist with outreach efforts, attend and help with events, assist students with off-campus housing questions and concerns and be an advocate for students living off-campus. Through OCL's Great Gator Neighbor Medalion Program you learn what it means to be an active and engaged citizen.

DISCOVER

To connect students to Gainesville through awareness and involvement. Through our Discover Gainesville event series, we offer students opportunities to experience new venues, food, and culture around town guided by local experts at no cost to you.
